I have learned that sometimes we do get extra food items, and we do not want them to go to waste!
I love to do a cook-off with my other family members. We love fruits and vegetables! Since I have little ones, we usually use our imagination to create edible items from our fruits and vegetables. For our cook-off, I love to do a combination rice challenge. We use different ingredients from our WIC-approved foods such as corn, tomatoes, onions, broccoli, and so many more.
Our other favorite is the Quesadilla remix of our delicious ideas of cheese (WIC-approved) and adding different items to it as well. My little ones love to help me shred cheese, more eating it, but it's all the more fun and adding our meats and veggies to it as well.
