Carve Out Time For Yourself

by Alexis from Michigan

I am a busy mom to four amazing kids. With that being said, carving out me time sometimes gets left on the back burner.

And add some mom guilt for wanting to do something for just me and alone, it makes it difficult. But, as someone who struggles with depression and anxiety, I understand how crucial it is to make that time for just me.

To fuel my mind, body and spirit I love to go for a walk/run. I love to read my bible and pray. Also, going to therapy has been a game changer for me. It has helped me heal and gain confidence back into myself that I had lost.

Even if it's a short amount of time that I take for myself to do these things, it truly does make a difference. I feel better about myself afterwards and feel that I am way more present with my kids.

About Alexis. . .

I love coffee. Fall is my favorite season. I work part time and I am wanting to enroll back into college or a trade school. I have been on the WIC program since my oldest (now 9) has been a year old.
